Ghandruk trek
One of the easiest and worthwhile treks around Pokhara valley is Ghandruk trek. The three day from Nayapul (near to Pokhara) to Ghandruk gives you access to Nepal’s classic viewpoints of the Annapurna range as well as Dhaulagiri along with sunrise and sunsets.
The most attractive part of the trek is to explore the Ghandruk village with Gurung community, rhododendron forests, rice paddies and Himalayan ranges. The homestay facility in this trail is quite famous.
We will pick you up at 8am from lakeside Pokhara. We recommend you to have breakfast before 8am. We will drive to Nayapul the starting point of our trek which takes about one and a half hour. After 30 minutes trek you come atBirethantiwhere your trekking permits will be checked. The trail then heads toSyauli bazaar with occasional views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Macchapuhre along the trail. Have pre-ordered lunch at Syauli bazaar and then trek another 2 hrs of uphill route to reach Ghandruk.
Check in hotel at Ghandruk where you will be welcomed with warm Himalayan tea. After refreshment, start tour of Ghandruk village by visiting local museum, traditional homes, organic farm etc. You will have your dinner in the hotel.
After watching sunrise views have breakfast. This is the toughest day of the trek. We will trek down to New Bridge within one and half hour. Thereafter you will do steep uphill trek to Landruk which also takes about one and half hour. Landruk is a Gurung village and a perfect point to watch up close views of Annapurna South. Continue trek past Landruk to Tolka where we will have our pre-ordered lunch. Post lunch carry on with your trek till Pothana. Pothana lies on the trekking trail to Mardi Himal. Dinner will be in the hotel.
After breakfast at 8am we start our trek to Pokhara via Dhampus village. Today you will enjoy the easiest trekking trail. It takes one-and-a-half-hour maximum to reach Dhampus. We will spend few hours touring the village before embarking on the trail towards Phedi. From Phedi we will drive back to Pokhara.
Note: Consult with your guide in choosing lunch between Dhampus and Pokhara well in advance.
